Hartford Whalers 30, South Carolina Scarecrows 52
In a battle of two undefeated teams, the South Carolina Scarecrows (3-0) dominated the Hartford Whalers (2-1), thanks to a strong ground game led by Jonathan Taylor's 135 yards and 2 touchdowns. Stefon Diggs also contributed with 107 yards and a 2-point conversion.
“We came out here to prove we're the best in the East,” said Scarecrows’ owner Trevor Harless. “Taylor, Diggs, and the rest of my guys showed they may also belong in the Cornfield of Honor one day.”
Despite a valiant effort from Patrick Mahomes and Chris Godwin, the Whalers couldn't keep up with the Scarecrows' high-flying offense.
