Another Lead Change In the Central; Kats Edge Animals, 27-24

In a showdown for Central Division supremacy, the Tabbi's Kats narrowly defeated the Indy Animals 27-24, proving once again that in the IFFL, consistency and a bit of luck often triumph over sheer talent.

Indy’s QB, Jayden Daniels, seemed to be channeling his inner ghost, going for 207 passing yards with zero touchdowns, leaving his teammates and fans wondering if he was on the field at all. Cooper Kupp, still recovering from his extended game of "Where's Waldo," was just as elusive as Daniels, managing a quiet 80 yards with no touchdowns. A visibly frustrated Daniels quipped, “I swear, Kupp was wearing camouflage out there. Even I couldn’t spot him.”

Meanwhile, the Animals' rushing attack actually put up some points, with Tyrone Tracy Jr. and Chase Brown each scoring a touchdown. Tracy Jr. had a rare moment of excitement with 104 yards and a score, though rumor has it he might’ve run out of pure disbelief after realizing he got the ball. Chase McLaughlin, the Animals' kicker, kept Indy in the game with two field goals and two extra points, adding a respectable 8 points to their total.

On the other side, Tabbi's Josh Allen, who normally has the poise of a runaway freight train, managed a somewhat subdued 330 yards and a single touchdown, putting up a modest 7 points. His teammate, Chuba Hubbard, brought some energy with a whopping 169 rushing yards and a score, while Derrick Henry bulldozed his way for another 6 points. When asked how he felt about his ground game’s dominance, Allen simply shrugged and said, “Let’s be real. Hubbard and Henry did all the heavy lifting.”

In the kicking department, Cairo Santos of the Kats added a humble 3 points with a lone field goal. Meanwhile, both defenses played a respectable game, with each managing a couple of turnovers and holding the other team to minimal points.

As the final whistle blew, the Animals were left scratching their heads over where it all went wrong and how their main offensive weapon, Kupp, turned into the league’s newest version of "Where's Waldo." And the Kats? They walked off the field with a 7-3 record and first place in the Central, perhaps dreaming of postseason glory—or at least a playoff run that doesn’t involve finding Kupp hidden on the field.
