Central Division Showdown: Indy Animals vs. New Whiteland Chicken Pluckerz
This divisional clash saw the Indy Animals stampede all over the New Whiteland Chicken Pluckerz 45-25, proving that while chickens may cross roads, they can’t cross goal lines. Jayden Daniels led the charge, and the Pluckerz spent most of the game looking like they were trying to find the remote instead of the end zone.
Jayden Daniels, ROY Candidate was in elite form, throwing for 349 yards, three touchdowns, and adding a two-point conversion for good measure. "I felt like I was playing Madden out there," Daniels joked postgame. "Except on Rookie mode." He also gave us this amazing quote “If this is what the playoffs feel like, I’m ready. Somebody tell the rest of the division to catch up.”
Gardner Minshew, the mustachioed maestro, struggled to keep pace with Daniels, managing just 235 yards and one touchdown. After the game, he said, “Turns out you can’t win on vibes alone. Who knew?” Later on, Minshew was ruled out for the rest of the game with a shoulder injury.
Gibbs was unstoppable, running for 99 yards and scoring two touchdowns. “I’d like to thank the Pluckerz defense for clearing the way,” Gibbs quipped. “It’s like they were holding the door open for me.”
The Pluckerz tight end put up a monster 133 yards, doing his best impersonation of a one-man offense. “I just wish someone else on our team could catch,” McBride muttered as he exited the field.
Midway through the third quarter, Jahmyr Gibbs broke free for a 40-yard touchdown run, effectively ending any hope New Whiteland had of making this a game. The Pluckerz looked so defeated, even the sideline chicken mascot started packing up early. Indy Owner Q “Worst to first, baby. Who’s laughing now? Not the Pluckerz, that’s for sure.” Said New Whiteland Owner Kevin Julbert “I thought we had a chance, but then the game started. Tough break for us.”
The Indy Animals are charging into the playoffs with momentum, while the Chicken Pluckerz are left wondering if they’re better suited for a petting zoo than a football field. With this win, Indy solidifies its grip on the Central Division, proving that the Animal Kingdom reigns supreme.
