Lords of the Air: Burrow and Chase Lead LA in a Week 14 Showcase

The Los Angeles Lords may have missed the playoffs by 3 seconds and an 11-yard Lamar Jackson miracle in Week 13, but they showed in Week 14 that their stars shine as bright as ever. Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase delivered a 64-26 rout of the playoff-bound Indy Animals, leaving fans wondering what could have been.

Joe Burrow lit up the scoreboard with 367 yards and 3 touchdowns, proving why he's still in the MVP conversation. His primary beneficiary? None other than Ja’Marr Chase, who torched Indy’s secondary for 191 yards and 2 touchdowns.

"I was just out there having fun," Chase said. "It’s not like we have anything else to play for… except my highlight reel."

And let’s not forget Justin Jefferson, who added 132 yards and 2 scores of his own. The Lords’ passing attack looked like a finely tuned orchestra, while Indy’s defense played more like a kazoo band.

With Jayden Daniels taking a mental health day, Indy handed the reins to Will Levis, who threw for a whopping 171 yards and 0 touchdowns. At one point, fans swore they saw him Googling "how to complete a forward pass."

The run game provided some relief as Jahmyr Gibbs, Tyrone Tracy Jr., and Chase Brown combined for three touchdowns. However, the passing game’s absence left Indy’s offense flatter than a soda left out overnight.

"We were just trying to stay healthy," said Indy owner Kevin "Q" Ryburn. "Except for my blood pressure—that definitely took a hit watching Levis."

Indy’s defense had no answer for Burrow’s aerial assault, and LA’s defense didn’t exactly dominate either, allowing 26 points despite the lopsided win. But hey, when your offense is scoring like this, who cares?

For the Lords, the season ends with a bittersweet exclamation point. With Burrow and Chase making their MVP cases, the Lords are left wondering what could’ve been with just one more win.

Meanwhile, the Indy Animals are preparing to host the Pittsburgh Peanut Butter Balls in Wild Card Weekend. With Jayden Daniels presumably back under center, Indy hopes their mental break translates to a playoff breakthrough. If not, someone should check if Lamar Jackson has another miracle up his sleeve.

Will Indy bounce back, or will Lamar Jackson continue his "mental health day revenge tour"? Stay tuned.
