Taipei, Taiwan – The Taipei Personality (1-0) kicked off the 2024 fantasy football season with a bang, securing a decisive 62-30 victory over the New Delhi Subs (0-1) in an action-packed Week 1 clash.
The standout performer of the game was undoubtedly Saquon Barkley. The star running back rushed for an impressive 132 yards and found the end zone three times. Barkley’s performance was a crucial factor in Taipei’s high-scoring affair. “It feels great to start the season with a performance like that,” said Barkley post-game. “I’m just excited to get the team off on the right foot.”
In a twist of fate, Taipei’s Tyreek Hill almost didn’t make it to the game on time. Hill was arrested en route to the stadium, causing a considerable delay. Despite the drama, Hill managed to arrive just in time and made an impact with 130 receiving yards and a touchdown. “It was a crazy day, but I’m glad I could be here for my team,” Hill commented after the game.
Kicker Jake Moody was another key contributor for Taipei, as he scored an incredible 20 points. Moody was perfect on all six field goal attempts and added two extra points, showcasing his reliability and precision.
Despite the loss, the New Delhi Subs had notable performances from their key players. Kenneth Walker and Aaron Jones each rushed for 109 yards and a touchdown, while Kyren Williams added another rushing touchdown. However, their efforts were overshadowed by Taipei’s offensive explosion.
With this win, the Taipei Personality starts the season on a high note, while the New Delhi Subs will need to regroup and adjust as they head into Week 2.
