Tequila, NM – The Tequila Sunrise secured a narrow victory over the San Antonio Mexican'ts in a Week 1 clash, winning 47-36. This win propels the Sunrise to a 1-0 record as they set their sights on a return to the playoffs and a bid for their 7th championship title. The Mexican'ts fall to 0-1, with owner Tanya Harless expressing a sense of urgency to improve.

The Tequila Sunrise showcased resilience and tactical prowess, overcoming a challenging performance from the Mexican'ts. Despite a slow start, Tequila's offense, led by Justin Herbert, managed to score 6 points with 150 yards and a touchdown.
