New Whiteland Chicken Pluckerz Squeeze Past Cincinnati Bagels, 40-39

In one of the closest games of Week 2, the New Whiteland Chicken Pluckerz (1-1) edged the Cincinnati Bagels (1-1) by a single point, 40-39. Kyler Murray’s big day through the air, throwing for 325 yards and 3 touchdowns, led the Chicken Pluckerz to their first win of the season. Davante Adams also played a key role with 110 yards and a touchdown.

“That was too close for comfort,” said New Whiteland owner Kevin Julbert. “Kyler came through for us, and our defense made just enough plays.”

Cincinnati fought valiantly, with Breece Hall’s 114 yards and a touchdown, as well as David Montgomery’s 70 yards and a score, leading the way. C.J. Stroud had a solid 259-yard, 1-TD performance, but it was the Bagels’ missed opportunities on defense that cost them in the end.
